The goal of Omnitracs was to do more than a place to work, a hub of connection and collaboration, tied to the same concept of the office of the future of CREATIO, reinventing office spaces in a productive, connected and comfortable destination.
The Mexican integrator Creatio Entornos Inteligentes, with its integration into the corporate Omnitracs of Mexico, obtained the majority of the votes and was the winner of the AV Latino 20210 Contest.

Omnitracs is a transport logistics company with presence in different countries. One of them is Mexico and right there it recently opened its new corporate office south of Mexico City. For these offices, the company appointed Creatio Entornos Inteligentes in order to integrate different state-of-the-art audiovisual solutions.
Juan Carlos Martínez, CEO and Founder of Creatio, told AVI Latin America the details of this project, executed during the first quarter of 2021. “The client wanted the best connectivity and collaboration technology on the market. All client spaces were equipped where employees need to communicate remotely and be able to interact with the best audio and video quality”, he pointed out.
In total, 27 spaces were equipped, including 12 meeting rooms, a coffee area, the reception, the showroom, a laboratory, three VIP offices, four Huddle rooms, a training room and three large meeting rooms.
As one of the requirements of the final client was to have the latest technology available, from the design of the project at Creatio they contemplated working with recognized brands. By the teams chosen for each of these spaces were from: Logitech, Samsung, QSC, Barco, Kramer, Peerless, NEC, Muxlab, Microsoft Teams and Shure.
According to Juan Carlos Martínez, what prompted the end customer to integrate the aforementioned systems was the functionality, the easy handling of the equipment, the integration with Microsoft Teams and the quality/price/benefit ratio, all in accordance with the requirements and standards of the Omnitracs corporate office in the United States.
Integrated Technology
According to the CEO and founder of Creatio, the automation was carried out using new generation QSC processors that integrate the 3 platforms mentioned. Specifically, the integrated teams were:
QSC control systems
Shure ceiling microphone
10.2” tablets + Meetup camera + Logitech soundbar
PTZ cameras in medium and large rooms QSC
QSC Ceiling and Pendant Speakers
Barco Wireless Video Transmission Systems
Video transmission systems by IP Muxlab
Kramer HDMI Cables
Samsung and NEC monitors
Juan Carlos Martínez highlighted that the technology and brands mentioned were chosen for this project “because they turned out to be the ones that best complemented what the client was looking for and the ones that offered us the best prices and delivery times. As well as great support from the manufacturers.”
Execution in pandemic
The project was executed in the midst of the pandemic generated by Covid19, which was a challenge due to the need to comply with biosafety standards. In addition, the situation also generated some delays in the delivery of the equipment. And although it was a situation outside the integrator, they were able to handle it and meet the established delivery times.
In addition, from Creatio they had the opportunity to work hand in hand with the project manager, Acento, and with the construction company, Gaya, with whom they formed a very good partnership. "If you don't have a good crew on a new build, things can get delayed and go wrong."
Among the benefits for the end customer with this integration, Juan Carlos Martínez pointed out that “With the new softcodec/cloud (teams) videoconferencing technologies, expensive codecs are no longer required. Also the QSC controllers that control audio, video, lighting no longer require more than a single box. This has significantly lowered the costs of technological implementation. In the past only a few meeting rooms were outfitted, at today's costs, companies like Omnitracs are equipping all meeting rooms of all sizes. These companies want the best audio, video and automation technology.”
Latin AV Contest Winner 2021
With the project carried out in Omnitracs, the integrator Creatio participated and won the AV Latino Contest in its 2021 version, announced on August 27 at a virtual event organized by AVI Latin America.
In this regard, Juan Carlos Martínez assured that “Due to the importance of the project we did at Omnitracs, due to the innovation of the teams and because it is a post-pandemic solution, we believed it was important to share it and participate for this important recognition. The client was very satisfied, the technology turned out to have great performance, and our company's service was very punctual, so they are considering us for post-sale support and for new projects."
